Martin Taylor & Alison Burns in the Land of Smiles
During their recent tour to the East and Australia Martin Taylor and Alison Burns gave a terrific concert at the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok. Their thrilling performance to an overwhelmed capacity crowd was crowned with cheers and lasting standing ovations.
Fortunately, this time around their schedule allowed for some trips to Samut Prakan's famous Ancient City and Crocodile Farm were both, Alison and Martin, had their paintings done by talented young Thai elephants. A highly delicious Thai dinner at Bangpoo's bird sanctuary out in the sea rounded up a joyful day.
There was also time for plenty of chit chat and some good coffee and tea at our Sukhumvit residence. Their visit was once again great fun and gave the media and the music comunity a chance to learn a lot more about jazz. Looking forward to welcoming them again in the near future.
...the idea of being reborn as a cat...one day
I just thought that being reborn as a silver colored Persian cat in a house like mine wouldn't be such a bad idea....after all it would just only carry those three hardship obligations: eating, playing, sleeping.....and loads of that, of course....
